What’s the Most Popular Size for Breast Augmentation?
In short, a C cup is the most popular size for breast augmentation. But what do we mean by augmentation? It’s where the breasts are enlarged, normally by placing an implant underneath existing breast tissue.
Sizing isn’t always this straightforward, though, as breast implants are measured by volume (in cubic centimetres) rather than cup size. 350cc to 400cc is the most popular silicone breast implant size, which is a C cup on most women, but not all.
Each woman’s body is unique, so implants sit differently and affect the overall size and appearance. Even though you may have similarly sized natural breasts to your friend, it doesn’t mean you’d have the same results as them if you both used the same implants.
Muscle thickness, skin elasticity, and the amount of existing breast tissue are just some of the factors that affect the final look. So while 350cc to 400cc is the most popular breast implant size, the results will differ from person to person. As a very general rule, 150cc equates to increasing by 1 cup size.
Is the Most Popular Breast Implant Size Right for You?
Just because a certain volume is the most popular size for breast augmentation, it doesn’t mean it’s the right size for you. For example, a larger frame can support bigger implants than a more slender frame. Or if you’ve got lots of existing breast tissue, you won’t need as large an implant as someone with very little tissue to get the same cup size.
With so many factors affecting the overall result, you want to take the time to find the right implant size for you. But how do you do this?
We’re proud to offer a Crisalix 3D Consultation to help you make decisions around the right implant size for you. It allows you to upload pictures and enjoy a preview of what your new breasts could look like. It means you can test out the most popular size for breast augmentation and see how it looks on you.
It’s a real perk for anyone who’s nervous about visiting a doctor, as you can start uploading photos from the comfort of your own home. If you’d prefer, you can be scanned by the Dr during your consultation to look at your options there and then.
